To commemorate the 80th anniversary of the operation “Chastise” – the Dams Raid – in 1943 by RAF 617 Squadron, the 617 Squadron Association has commissioned an exclusive and collectible, limited edition commemorative lapel pin. 

The pin depicts three Lancasters flying over the dam, with the lightning strikes in the colour of the current RAF 617 Squadron and is made by cloisonné method, with silver metal infilled with enamel. Each pin will be accompanied by a numbered certificate. 

The number is strictly limited to only 617 pins.

All proceeds will go to the Association’s charitable causes, including the Guy Gibson VC flying scholarship which aims to help an underprivileged ATC or CCF cadet with their first step on an aviation career by training them to go solo in a light aircraft.
