Objectives of the Association are exclusively charitable:
a. Promote efficiency of the Royal Air Force by preserving traditions and comradeship by encouraging personnel to benefit from experience/lessons of predecessors by maintaining contact with past members of the Squadron.
b. Educate and inform general public on work and history of Bomber/Strike/Air Command by making grants plus supporting any charities, projects or appeals associated with Commands their activities, including; RAF Museum, The Imperial War Museum and The Bomber Command Association.
We support a range of causes under our Constitution. These include: giving educational presentations to schools, youth organizations and the public; supporting and donating to educational aeronautical projects, and sponsoring the Guy Gibson VC 'flying scholarship’.
We invite you to support these causes by monetary donations or, if eligible, joining the Association - either contact the Chairman below or go to the Membership page.
We are always looking for current serving and ex-617 Squadron Members to help us make our vision a reality. Just fill in the membership form and we ask that you set up an annual subscription of £15.
